Senior Manager, Content & Merchandising

The Sr. Manager, Content & Merchandising is responsible for overseeing how content and merchandising strategies come to life on NatureMade.com. This individual plays a pivotal role in how we use our website to drive omnichannel sales by managing brand content, leading site merchandising and visual presentation, and bringing to life promotional events. The Sr. Manager, Content & Merchandising reports to the Director, DTC and Web, and manages a Specialist, Content & Merchandising.

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:

  • Combine brand objectives with consumer insights to provide a content and merchandising framework to elevate NatureMade.com as a key marketing channel for the brand. Partnering closely with cross-functional teams to consider things like media campaigns, events and activations, and SEO goals.
  • Own and deliver a content calendar, online merchandising plan and event/promotional cadence for the website.
  • Lead the development of strategies to use eCommerce tools to facilitate better consumer discovery, build baskets, drive conversion, and positively improve web KPIs. These tools may include software such as Shopify, Algolia, Bazaarvoice, and ReCharge.
  • Develop and maintain processes for constant and consistent merchandising of the site; leveraging key data, learnings and insights to optimize product, pages and content towards those elements that will drive the best result for consumers and business objectives.
  • Create and maintain the optimal consumer journey by optimizing existing web features, generating new ideas for enhancements, and driving our A/B testing strategy for web. Partner closely with cross-functional teams to help develop and bring these ideas to life to positively impact how our products, content and messaging drives action.
  • Coach the Specialist, Content & Merchandising by supporting their development, delegating with strong direction, and providing regular praise and direct feedback.

CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS

You’ll be most successful in this role if you have:

  • Experience building and implementing content strategies, with a specific focus on how those strategies come to life on branded websites
  • Thorough understanding and experience with eCommerce software and tools and web content management systems (CMS) such as Shopify Plus, Algolia, Bazaarvoice, and Salsify (among others)
  • Experience working in Google Analytics with an ability to navigate the platform independently to evaluate data; experience with other web analytics platforms and dashboards preferred
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities demonstrating an ability to create shared plans, calendars, templates and guides that others on the team can use to guide their work
  • Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to achieve outcomes.

CAPABILITIES & SKILLS REQUIRED

In order to take on these challenges, you’ll need to have:

  • At least 7 years of experience working on DTC, retail or commerce-based websites with direct responsibility for things like content and merchandising · Experience directly managing and developing a team member
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once
  • Excellent communication skills with a drive to build lasting relationships
  • Bachelors Degree

National Target Base Pay Range: $115,000 - $195,000

The salary range for this position is based on national standards. For candidates in California and New York metro the Target Base Pay Range is $127,000 - $217,000, to reflect the cost of living and market conditions in those areas.

Actual compensation will take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location, education, experience, qualifications and job-related skills. It is not typical for an individual to be hired above the midpoint of the range for their role and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. This information is provided to applicants in accordance with state and local laws.

Base pay is only one component of our total rewards offerings, and we will take the full offering into consideration when presenting an offer of employment. Our total rewards package for this position may also include an annual performance bonus, Medical, dental and vision benefits, 401K match, and other wellness benefits.
