We are seeking an inspirational and forward-thinking leader to join our team as the Global Head of Digital Design & Production. In this pivotal role, you will lead the charge in transforming the execution and delivery of sustainable architecture, engineering and consultancy projects and services.

Your new role

You will lead a cross-disciplinary team and collaborate with Ramboll’s Group Business Areas (GBAs) to deliver world-class digital project execution, unify our global production environment, and position Ramboll at the forefront of digital innovation in the built environment.

As an integral member of the Ramboll Tech leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring that Ramboll’s projects and services are executed using the most advanced technologies, robust production platforms, and innovative data-driven approaches. Your visionary leadership will drive continuous enhancement of digital maturity across the organization, fostering a culture of innovation and positioning Ramboll at the forefront of the industry.

Areas of responsibility

Vision & Strategy: Establish and own the global vision and long-term strategy for Digital Design & Production. Define success metrics and value targets, ensuring alignment with Ramboll’s overarching strategic ambitions, including digital and sustainability goals.

Organization & Team Management: Own the contracts with tier 1 and 2 technology providers (e.g., Autodesk, Bentley, Trimble) and lead the global teams responsible for the global production environment, digital production processes, productization, and technology partnerships. Ensure continuous alignment with our Global Business Areas (GBA’s) and promote synergies to streamline operations and enhance project execution globally.

Processes: Own and drive continuous development of the global Digital Project Execution framework and promote and oversee the adoption of digital production practices within Ramboll, ensuring measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, and sustainability.

Production Platform: Own the tier 1 and 2 product/platform portfolio and direct the continuous development of Ramboll’s global production environment, ensuring platform interoperability and optimization. Oversee that critical platforms and products are managed, supported, maintained, and updated. Promote the unified and effective utilization of core technologies to optimize project and service delivery.

Productization: Define and own Ramboll’s productization strategy and make sure that relevant capabilities are in place to drive the transformation of Ramboll’s services into scalable digital products, develop repositories of best-practice design components, and enhance efficiency in delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions, while fostering growth and market leadership.

Partnerships: Own, mature and leverage tier 1 and 2 technology partnerships to enhance competitiveness and market differentiation, influencing product roadmaps, boosting digital design and production capabilities, seizing new business opportunities, and position Ramboll at the industry's technological forefront.

Change Management & Adoption: Champion the digital transformation of Ramboll and account for building relevant and critical technology and digital capabilities in line with the global strategy. Support GBA’s in defining critical skills capabilities. Ensure systematic monitoring and tracking of the uptake of digital processes and tools to drive continuous improvement.

About You

• Strong experience in the AEC industry in project management, digital transformation, digital design (e.g. BIM, GIS) processes and production environments, or a related field, within a complex global organization
• You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, environmental sciences, digital technology, or a similar field, with strong understanding of multi-discipline project delivery   
• You are an empathetic leader who fosters collaboration and maintains composure when dealing with many stakeholders and various expectations
• You are passionate about incorporating technology and digital ways of working to more efficiently deliver quality solutions to clients and are data-driven in your approach to ensuring this happens
• Professional fluency in English is required
