Cleaner (Pine Grove Manor)
WinnCompanies is looking for a Cleaner to join our team at Pine Grove Manor, an 172-unit affordable housing and market community located in Muskegon Township, MI.
In this role, you will perform cleaning functions to ensure the appearance and physical condition of the property is maintained to ownership and management expectations.
- Perform day-to-day tasks, which include, but are not limited to: cleaning windows, walls, floors, stairwells, laundry rooms, elevators, and carpets.
- Empty trash cans, sweep sidewalks, set up hoses, rake lawns and flower beds, plant flowers, and install mulch.
- Perform each cleaning function in accordance with the property's prescribed daily schedule.
- Remove snow and ice from walkways, parking lots, and driveways.
- Clean vacant units.
- Perform other cleaning functions as assigned by supervisor.
- Currently enrolled in high school program at minimum.
- Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to understand spoken and written English.
- Ability to respond to requests in a timely and respectful manner.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous cleaning experience.

This role is vital in ensuring that the property stays in tip-top shape, living up to ownership and management standards. As a Cleaner, you’ll dive into a variety of tasks including washing windows, cleaning floors, and maintaining stairwells, among others. Expect to empty trash cans, tend to the outdoors by sweeping sidewalks, raking lawns, and even planting flowers – yes, you’ll help make the community beautiful! On days that require it, snow and ice removal from pathways will also be part of your responsibilities. You’ll follow a structured cleaning schedule and ensure vacant units are clean and ready for new residents. Ideal candidates are enrolled in high school or have recently graduated, possess great customer service skills, and can communicate effectively in English. While prior cleaning experience is a plus, it’s not a strict requirement. The hourly pay ranges from $16 to $18, and benefits include generous time off policies, a 401(k) plan with matching, medical, dental, and vision plans, tuition reimbursement, and much more.
