Company Description

Lead the Future of Hospitality at Darwin Airport Hotels

Novotel, Mercure, and ibis Darwin Airport Hotels & Resort, located just moments from Darwin Domestic and International Airport, offers a unique and dynamic environment for both business and leisure travellers. The properties feature a range of accommodations, including newly renovated rooms, pool villas, suites, and bungalows, all designed to showcase Darwin’s tropical environment. Recent extensive renovations have introduced a new 1 million-litre lagoon pool, new poolside Cafe, tropical poolside cabanas, and a children’s aquatic playground, providing a resort-style experience just minutes from the airport.

In addition to a variety of accommodation options, the properties boast two restaurants with one of those due to re-open soon fully renovated, a fitness centre, and versatile conference and meeting facilities. The resort’s prime location, combined with a range of amenities, provides an exciting and fast-paced work environment, in a newly revitalised, growing destination.

Job Description

  • Prepare, communicate and implement the annual Talent & Culture (T&C) Department Business Plan.
  • Oversee recruitment to meet Hotel Talent needs following Hotel and Company guidelines.
  • Ensure that strategies and practices are in place to facilitate the efficient and effective staffing of all departments to achieve financial and service quality targets.
  • Effectively use the results of the Employee Opinion Survey to team members and actively participate in creating Departmental improvements.
  • Drive T&C solutions such as reward and recognition, employee wellbeing, talent management and leadership programs.
  • Manage the salary/award review process.
  • Develop and maintain a stable working environment following the guidelines outlined in the Fair Work Australia Act, National Employment Standards and relevant Award or Agreement.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a T&C/HR capacity within the Hospitality environment.
  • Hands on experience across end-to-end T&C/HR cycle including recruitment, WHS, performance management and learning and development.
  • Thorough understanding of Australian employment legislation including the Modern Award.
