REGIONAL OPERATIONS SENIOR MANAGER

At Amgen Breda medicines are labeled, assembled, stored, and eventually shipped to various countries worldwide. Every day more than 1000 people from 38 different nationalities are working on supply chain processes, manufacturing, marketing, and sales of our medicines and clinical research into new medicines.

What you will do

The Regional Operations Sr Mgr plays a pivotal role in ensuring our medicines are available in time to support new product launches and the introduction of new configurations.

Moreover, the Regional Operations Senior Manager coordinates various life cycle management initiatives within the product portfolio. You will operate in a cross-functional environment, acting as a liaison between multiple disciplines within Amgen, including commercial brand teams, global product delivery team affiliates, manufacturing, regulatory affairs, and quality.

Key responsibilities include:

• Led product launches in Region EMEA and managed lifecycle activities for IDP, LDP, and FDP SKUs in the same region.

• Serving as the key Operations interface for EMEA Launch Teams and the Global Product Development Team (PDT).

• Participating in the cross-functional Product Lifecycle Team (PLT), led by the SCPM HUBs, and involvement in cross-functional S&OP/IBP meetings with the EMEA Affiliates.

In this vital role, you will:

• Define and document product launch and lifecycle management strategy for EMEA (LCM only), ensuring alignment with global product strategy and regulatory filing strategies. Be accountable for meeting the agreed strategy.

• Generate project charters for launches and new devices and strength introductions, ensuring project gate review alignment with product management and commercialization processes.

• Serve as a liaison with the site (accountable for site readiness execution) for a given product: meet launch and product lifecycle site readiness milestones and lead new SKU and rationalization requests.

• Represent Regional Operations in Launch Teams meetings with the EMEA Affiliates and Country offices.

• Work with EMEA Affiliates and Country offices in preparing Business Cases for the Filing and Launch prioritization governance.

• Serve as Regional Operations representative to PDT for Region EMEA, filtering appropriate requests and information to PDT.

• Provide regular project status updates that are in the scope of the PDT.

• Present EMEA CtF’s for endorsement by the PDT.

• Serve as the representative for the EMEA Region and for the Global Product Team to the PLT.

• Ensure that PLT members have an in-depth understanding of the business and product requirements.

• Ensure that Department KPI’s are measured, and targets are met.

• Identify areas for improvement and work with the right partners to implement operational excellence initiatives/process improvement projects.

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Studies.

• Experience in a GMP environment.

• Basic GMP knowledge and a basic understanding of pharmaceutical regulations.

• Understanding of sales & marketing principles and a record of experience with commercial operations.

• Experience in pharmaceutical product commercialization and life cycle management.

• Experience working in an international environment.

• Experience in multi-disciplinary project & change management.

• Ability to act on operational, tactical, and strategic levels.

• Ability to recognize the strategic implications of complex product development activities and manage them cross-functionally.

• Project management experience, including the ability to identify and execute initiatives.

• Ability to interact with technical subject matter experts.
