Senior Manager – Warehouse Operations & Branch Management

Company Overview:

BRT is an Aluminum Extrusions Company with Corporate Headquarters in Niles OH. As we experience marked growth, our employees and opportunities do as well. BRT is seeking a dynamic and experienced senior manager to oversee and lead our branch managers at several warehouse locations. This position will be responsible for maintaining inventory. This role is pivotal in ensuring streamlined warehouse operations, efficient inventory management, and exceptional customer service across all facilities in several states around the country. If you have a proven track record in managing people, warehouse operations, inventory systems, and customer relations, we want to hear from you. (APICS experience required)

This position will come with competitive salary and quarterly bonus potential. This role can be in almost any state that is near a larger Airport Hub. There will be at least 50% travel with this role, both by car and air. Other than traveling to the sites, this is a remote role.

Key and Essential Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Supervise branch managers and provide guidance to ensure high levels of performance, engagement, and professional growth.
  • Operational Oversight: Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring that inventory management processes are executed with precision and efficiency.
  • Systems & Process Improvement: Implement and optimize warehouse management and inventory software systems to enhance accuracy and productivity. (APICS experience required)
  • Customer Service Excellence: Maintain and improve customer service standards, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute strategies that align with overall business goals and drive operational excellence.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all warehouse operations comply with relevant safety standards, industry regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Extensive experience managing teams, with a strong background in warehouse operations, inventory management, and customer service in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing related software systems, including warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a multi-site operational setting.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze operational data, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on fostering collaborative and productive working relationships.
  • APICS Experience required and APICS Certification Preferred.

Physical requirements:

This position requires the individual to work in a plant/manufacturing/distribution center environment. The temperatures can fluctuate from hot to cold and the noise level can be high. An individual in this role will be able to walk, bend, stoop, twist, turn, climb, and push/pull frequently. An individual in this role will need to be always aware of movement and/or noises around them. An individual in this role must move 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs occasionally. An individual in this role will remain stationary and move about the factory as needed per essential duties of the position. An individual in this role will be an effective communicator verbally and in writing, and this role requires individuals to read, follow and give written procedures and instructions to employees with or without reasonable accommodations.
