The Role

We are scaling fast and building an exceptional HR Business Partnering team. We’re looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our People Team to help navigate the future growth of the company with us. This is a dynamic and hands on HR Business Partner role, which will build strong relationships with business leaders and all Cubicans to foster a culture and workplace where we can all thrive.

You will have experience in a high growth environment, and you’ll bring your passion, energy, and dedication into play where our employees, ‘Our Team’, come first. You will have the skills, aptitude, knowledge, and experience to build trusted relationships quickly and operate as a true partner to the business.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering

  • Establish a deep understanding of the business and client groups to develop people plans that support our ambitious business strategy.
  • Partner with your client groups on People Team strategies and initiatives to enhance our high-performance culture and support how we scale for organisational effectiveness.
  • Build relationships with employees across the business and provide support on all people related matters.
  • Analyse employee data and key trends to inform business insights and decisions.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations within your client groups, be a champion for best practice and proactively support People Managers by providing expert advice.
  • Keep up to date with HR best practice and thought leadership.
  • Implement, adhere and keep yourself informed on all employee related legislation and trends.
  • Collect, prepare and participate in the presenting of HRBP metrics to our leadership teams.

Coaching

  • Drive initiatives that need deep business partnering, and organisational transformation. You will need to be able to adapt your style from advisor, coach, and influencer, with a variety of leaders at different stages of development to deliver business outcomes.
  • Maintain the standard of high quality in our People Management capability through effective coaching on people related strategies and processes including Quality Conversations (performance management), compensation, talent management, succession planning and resource planning.

Organisation Transformation & Change

  • As we continue to scale, you will be a catalyst and a champion of change across Cubic. You will support our leaders to shape change ensuring the right outcomes for our business, our customers, and our culture.
  • Develop and project manage organisational design, workforce planning and performance culture strategies and drive them within your client groups.
  • Partner with leaders to ensure clear roles and responsibilities are in place to enable an optimal organisational design that is agile and meets the needs of the business.

Culture

  • Assist in driving a collaborative culture and embedding Cubic leadership pillars and values.
  • Contribute in a positive way towards the Cubic culture meaning that you are keen to get involved in company-wide, People Team and cross functional initiatives and projects.
  • Actively engage with our Cubicans through listening groups, pulse surveys, join team meetings and support the business in addressing challenges or opportunities that arise from these sessions.

People Team Projects

  • Lead on specific projects ensuring efficient planning, collaboration and communication plans that are well structured and drive desired outcomes.
  • Constantly seek best practice for policies and processes, bring insights for change and positively influence the design of our policies and processes.
  • 5+ years working in HR with a minimum of 2 years in a HR Business Partner role, preferably in a fast-growing technology company.
  • Self-directed, with the confidence, knowledge and ability to operate at a senior level.
  • A strong empathetic approach to People as evidenced by how you address business challenges and create solutions.
  • Proven ability to coach and influence people across all levels of the organisation.
  • Comfortable in an environment of high growth and dynamic change, which can bring a sense of ambiguity and competing priorities.
  • Ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions based on your knowledge and experience
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with an ability to create and deliver clear messages to multiple levels across the organisation.
  • Pragmatic and commercial thinker evidenced through your thought process and providing practical solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS applications.
