Leading digital consultancy business working closely with Private Equity - report to COO

Location: Paris

Singulier provides strategic and transformation support for private equity/investment funds and established companies. We collaborate with our clients to establish task forces that can perform strategic digital operations resulting in rapid and sustainable impact. We create meaningful value by leveraging our deep expertise in digital, data, and technology to serve forward-thinking ventures.

Our diverse team of approximately 80 professionals based in London, Paris & Munich  is divided into two groups: technical experts (including data engineers, digital media experts, and UX experts), and digital strategy consultants.    Our members are graduates of the best business and engineering schools and possess extensive experience in the field.  Founded in 2017, we have been consistently profitable and grown rapidly, and we recently opened our newest office in Germany.

What You’ll Do

We are looking for a Chief People Officer (CPO) to lead our People team in shaping an environment and delivering an employee experience that attracts and retains top talent and enables a high-performing organisation. 

We want to be a great place to work where the people experience is a key point of differentiation and retention as well as building a unique value proposition in the market.

Specifically, you’ll lead on:

  • Defining and implementing HR strategy & policies globally, setting the company up to scale over 3 countries (France, Germany and UK)
  • Overseeing all our people & culture operations: Employer Branding, Talent Acquisition, People Experience, and People Operations;
  • Managing a team of 2-3 people, with high potential to grow 

We are open to flexible time (e.g. 4 days per week) for the right candidate. 

Responsibilities

People Leadership 

  • Develop and implement people strategy for the company 
  • Regular engage with key employees to monitor culture and overall employee wellbeing; proactively identify and assess any issues 
  • Sit on the group leadership team and bring relevant HR proposals and issues  
  • Manage the HR team on a daily basis and ensure that each team member has a performance-based roadmap (e.g. clear objectives)
  • Build and monitor the  HR Budget

Talent Acquisition & Employer Branding

  • Plan and implement a yearly hiring plan ensuring that the recruitment needs are aligned to the business roadmap (budget, managers, business objectives) 
  • Oversee the recruitment policy globally
  • Monitor recruitment performance: monthly reporting of ongoing projects and recruitment activity as a whole, monitoring of KPIs
  • Define a clear employer value proposition  

Employee experience (Learning and development, Talent Management, Comp & Benefits, Culture)

  • Define and implement a training strategy fully integrated in each career path
  • Implement a best-in-class process for performance reviews and feedback cycles (objectives settings, mid-year appraisals, people reviews, 360 feedback)
  • Build a strong corporate culture in all geographies (France, UK, Germany and other), hand-in-hand with managers 
  • Work with the finance teams to ensure an attractive compensation & benefits. 

People Ops

  • Supervise payroll topics in order to ensure the compliance of HR processes and data
  • Supervise all employment legal topics across all geographies (currently France, UK, Germany)
  • Build and implement the right metrics to drive HR performance and optimise the use of people analytics to manage talent and make business and strategic recommendations
  • Ensure a good social climate (gender equality, remote-work, legal)

We are looking for experienced people leaders with strong emotional intelligence (EQ) and a passion for People. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • A passion for people : super pragmatic, highly self-aware, personable, and empathetic, with exceptional EQ and a proven track record of success across people topics.
  • At least 10 years of experience in People/HR teams, including leadership roles, with demonstrated success in building, hiring, managing, and scaling high-performing, global People teams in fast-growing companies.  Experience as a CPO preferred. 
  • Deep knowledge of French labor law  : experience working on People teams in France
  • Excellent interpersonal skills : able to work with different nationalities in 3 countries in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience working with and reporting to C-Suite executives, building trust and influencing at the highest levels.
  • Strong expertise in designing, defining, and improving People processes to support the needs of scaling organizations.
  • A leadership approach that prioritizes culture : you bring high energy, a sense of humor, and a commitment to building an engaging and inclusive workplace.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to drive alignment through compelling, data-driven insights and storytelling.
  • Experience in professional services (especially consulting) is highly preferred.
  • A strategic mindset, paired with hands-on execution : you are able to translate complex business challenges into effective People strategies while staying close to operational delivery.
  • A data-driven approach to decision-making, with the ability to define, track, and analyze key People metrics (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills in both English and French, both written and verbal.
