People and Culture Intern

JOB SUMMARY 

This is a temporary position. The duration of this role is not expected to last longer than three months (90 days) from the date of hire.

Habit Burger & Grill is seeking a People & Culture Intern to join their team. The People & Culture Intern will gain hands-on experience in talent acquisition, team member engagement, and onboarding while supporting a collaborative People & Culture team at Habit Burger & Grill.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Work cross-functionally to plan and execute engaging office events
  • Provide administrative and operational support for talent acquisition processes, including posting jobs, reviewing candidate applications, coordinating interviews, and maintaining clear communication with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Aid in managing the planning and execution of team member development events
  • Assist with new hire onboarding process by preparing onboarding agendas, coordinating with IT, workplace experience, and hiring managers to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
  • Assist with HR communications
  • Contribute to various HR-related projects such as creating SOPs, drafting job descriptions, refreshing HR documents with current brand standards

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE (and other qualifications): 

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong interest in HR, organizational culture, and talent development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint); basic Excel skills preferred
  • Experience supporting student organizations, events, or volunteer initiatives

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $22.30 per hour. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
