Workforce Management (WFM) Intern

SteadyMD, is seeking an Workforce Management Intern to support the WFM team in clinician scheduling, data management, and program coordination for telehealth services. This internship provides valuable hands-on experience in telehealth operations, offering exposure to workforce management processes, scheduling technologies, and clinician support functions. The rate for this position is $15 per hour and the individual must be located in St. Louis, MO.

Responsibilities

Scheduling & Clinician Coordination

  • Assist in matching clinician availability with program needs under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Learn and utilize telehealth scheduling software to help track clinician schedules.
  • Participate in team meetings to understand staffing needs and scheduling strategies.

Onboarding & Training Support

  • Support the onboarding process by assisting with account setup, tracking progress, and coordinating follow-up communication.
  • Help schedule shadow sessions and training opportunities for clinicians.

Data Entry & Reporting

  • Perform data entry tasks related to clinician schedules and program assignments.
  • Help compile basic reports on clinician utilization and program effectiveness.

Communication & Outreach

  • Assist in clinician outreach to communicate scheduling updates, program changes, and onboarding requirements.
  • Help maintain organized communication records in Slack and other internal platforms.

Special Projects & Learning Opportunities

  • Participate in special projects focused on improving scheduling workflows and clinician onboarding.
  • Engage in learning sessions about telehealth operations, scheduling best practices, and workforce management tools.
  • Receive mentorship and training to develop skills necessary for effective coordination in a telehealth environment.

Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: No prior workforce management experience required, but an interest in healthcare operations, scheduling, or telehealth is preferred.

Skills:

  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
